Lythica are, to all intestines and porpoises, a band of merry men. Formed in the dark ages of the nineties at a Harry Hill stand-up night, the band started from scratch, and since then has progressed to perhaps a few stages beyond scratch; itchy for the sake of argument. Lythica are a blend of traditional rock and indie, and take their influences from Counting Crows, Pearl Jam, Guns 'n' Roses, and a number of bands. We are a band who produce good wholesome tunes, and do not claim to "sound quite unlike any band before" as most Scottish Bands tend to. And Scottish is what we are, born in Glasgow, apart from Finlay who's a scummy southerner, the band now lives between Glasgow and Edinburgh, the places where Lythica prodominantly gigs, also. so welcome,stranger, inside a bizare world of guitars, stages, theatrical performances, and emotive lyrics, we are not big, but in the land of giants the small and bold hold the keys...Welcome inside the walls of our revolution...
